An-Najah National University continues to excel among Palestinian universities in the realm of humanitarian research, as evidenced by its significant contributions to Scopus, a publication platform managed by the international publishing house Elsevier. During the last academic year (2023), ten distinguished researchers across various humanities disciplines collectively published 116 scientific research papers. These researchers, listed in order of their respective publications, are Dr. Fayez Mahamid (26), Ms. Dana Bdair (19), Dr. Bilal Hamamra (15), Mr. Zuhair Khalif (12), Dr. Islam Abdeljawad (11), Prof. Abdulnaser Nour (9), Dr. Soheil Salha (8), Dr. Ahmad Qabaha (8), Dr. Oqab Jabali (4), and Dr. Saida Affouneh (4).


These scholars have expertise in diverse scientific specializations within the field of human sciences. Dr. Mahamid's research spans collective trauma, psychotherapy, internet addiction, mental health, and various therapeutic and psychological rehabilitation interventions. Meanwhile, Dr. Hamamra focuses on English language and various educational skills for English language and translation. Professor Khalif delves into topics such as technological education, artificial intelligence, education during crises, digital transformation, and digital challenges.

Dr. Abdeljawad's research covers artificial intelligence and finance, profit management, and stock returns in the Palestinian market, along with social responsibility and corporate governance. Prof. Nour addresses corporate governance in Palestine, artificial intelligence, accounting, and the financial performance of companies. Dr. Qabaha critically analyzes literary novels and explores the challenges facing e-learning in Palestine. Dr. Salha's research encompasses education after the Corona pandemic, teacher training, educational leadership, and dimensional analysis. Dr. Jabali focuses on job burnout among teachers, new students' attitudes toward learning the English language, and translation. Dr. Affouneh's research explores educational technology, innovation in education, and education during crises.

Ms. Dana Bdair, a doctoral candidate from the Department of Clinical Psychology at the University of Milan-Bicocca in Italy, has achieved a significant milestone by co-authoring 19 scientific papers published in journals with high impact factors. This accomplishment is particularly noteworthy for a scholarship recipient specializing in the humanities. Ms. Bdair's research encompasses a range of crucial topics, including psychological trauma, mental health, internet addiction, gender-based violence, counseling, and psychotherapy.

This outstanding achievement is the result of the dedicated efforts of An-Najah National University's administration and the Deanship of Scientific Research at An-Najah to continually advance scientific research and elevate its impact across all levels.
