An-Najah National University, represented by Dr. Sanaa Al Sarghali, UNESCO Chairholder for Human Rights, Democracy, and Peace, actively participated in the event advocating for Palestine. Organized by the Ministry of Women's Affairs in collaboration with the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women, the conference took place in New York last March.

Dr. Al Sarghali's address centered on the educational challenges faced by Palestinians amidst the ongoing war in Gaza and the persistent restrictions in the West Bank.

She also highlighted the targeting of academics in higher education institutions in Gaza Strip and the extensive destruction of university buildings, resulting in a complete halt to the educational process across all academic and community colleges.

Additionally, Dr. Al Sarghali emphasized the paramount importance of persevering in education despite all circumstances, stressing its intrinsic link to Palestinian identity and citizenship. She underscored the significance of continuing to speak out, expressing gratitude for the solidarity and support received during the event.
